We’ll I recently posted the above image on social media and got a lot of questions about how I achieved the curls.
This post is meant to let you in on all the details.
Before installation, I get it washed, treated and dried. I do take care of it like my natural hair. I guess that’s why I have gotten a lot of wear out off it.
Pascal who is my hair stylist got it for me.
All I did is told him the look I wanted to achieve for my wedding day and he was able to create the look by using this weave.
It’s a human hair weave in 16 inches. It was initially bought black but was colored/dyed to look like the natural color of my hair which is brown. I can’t recall its name but you can contact Pascal if you want to purchase it and tell him Tabby sent you.
His contacts are: 0721712713
I have never had black hair, I was born with brown hair. Which I got from my dad.
The weave was then sewed in by @hairaffairbybeatrice check her on Instagram.
I left out a bit of my natural hair on the front to achieve a more natural look.
Before the weave is installed my hair is always re-touched.
Pascal again, whose Instagram is @pascalhairkenya normally styles it, this sometimes includes cutting it to achieve a specific look that I may want at the time.
2. Flexi Rods Set
I used the flexi rods to set the curls.
But first I blow dried my hair to straighten it completely.
Then I went ahead and applied the crème of nature foaming lotion all around my hair.
I wrapped sections of the ends of my hair around the rod making sure I secured both ends and boom!
I then wrapped a bonnet /scarf/ head wrap around them and slept in them for a good 7-8 hours before removing the rods and finally having the curls out.
I styled my curls by running my fingers through my hair.
The flexi rods and crème of nature foaming cream can be purchased from any hair boutique or shop.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
Incase you have any questions about how I achieved the look, feel free to leave them in the comment section below and I will answer them.
