Well let me place a disclaimer right here, I’m no dermatologist or skin care expert.
But through constant use of products mentioned in this post I have seen my skin thrive.
Also to note, I have very dry skin.
You can find out your skin type by visiting a spa for a skin type test or dermatologist.
For my insides, water has been so therapeutic, although I must say Iam a work in progress
The recommended amount of water intake by medics in a day is 6 -12 glasses.
Iam not close to that. But am working on it.
Also eating right is the first step to getting your body and skin sitting right and tight. You can use all the beauty products in the world but if you are consuming all the wrong stuff it’s a waste of time!
So yes, every evening I eat my dinner in right portions and ensure the contents are what my body really needs and not wants.
Just before I sleep, I take 1 tab of Omega 3 supplements. Omega-3 fish oil contains both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients that are important in preventing and managing heart disease. I have no heart disease, its basic knowledge that if your heart is healthy, then your cells will be happy too! There are many other benefits of Omega 3 fatty acids which I won’t delve into for now.
I use Bio-Oil which has been great in keeping those cracked feet at bay and since I have dry skin am prone to this. It also leaves my feet feeling super soft.
Incase I run out of Bio-Oil I use Vaseline Cocoa Butter Liquid Oil or Ideal Olive Oil.
This products are available from your grocery shop/supermarket.
I scrub my skin with my body brush so as to open my pores for regular cleaning with my Dove Nutrium Body Wash or Aveeno Eczema Skin Body Wash.
I rinse my skin with warm water and dash out of the bathroom.
For days where I need to scrub my entire body with an actual body scrub the routine is longer.
This I do once a week.
1.Take off my make-up
I wear makeup at least 6 times a week, that’s basically every day.
Though one thing is for sure, I NEVER SLEEP WITH MAKE-UP ON.
No matter how tired I am or how under the weather I feel. Sleeping with make-up is a definite no no for me.
I mean with all the dirt accumulated throughout the day, it would be a recipe for a skin break out.
I use my Nivea Make-up Removal Wipes. This are easy on my skin and don’t leave it feeling too dry.
This is meant to take off the remaining make-up and open up my pores so that my skin can breathe during my night’s sleep and then get rejuvenated.
I currently use the Elizabeth Arden Cleanser on my Electric facial Brush Cleanser to completely take off my make-up.
Which leaves my skin smooth and sample.
Using my Daily Microbead scrub for my face is an important step that I never miss out on.
My Neutrogena Daily Scrub always does it for me.
Then I rinse my face with warm water and pat dry.
This helps in locking in all the moisture.
I do us my Alcohol Free Neutrogena Toner after a good face scrub or switch to Oil Free Acne Stress Control incase my skin starts breaking out.
It helps with clearing break outs and prevent them even before they start.
Then am off to sleep.
